Rawbit Studio - Week 1
Hello everyone!
I'm Toni, but from now on, you can call me Rawbit. I started Rawbit Studio with the goal of building a brand while giving visibility to my work. Currently, I'm working on several projects, but my main focus is Slaves.
A Major Change
This week has been intense. A few months ago, I announced at my previous company that I was leaving to focus on my personal growth. Before leaving, I completed an integration app with Shopify and an ERP managing over 200 dropshipping stores. Even though I left everything in good hands, stepping away from the project wasn’t easy—I felt a bit guilty, but I knew this was the right step forward.
Building the Rawbit Studio Website
This week, I built the Rawbit Studio website from scratch using Laravel. One of the key features I implemented was Google account authentication, making it easier for users to sign up without remembering another password.
The website will serve as a portfolio for my projects, allowing people to see what I’m working on and even contribute, whether through collaboration or financial support. To create an interactive space, I also launched a Discord community where people can chat with me and other members about ongoing projects.
Development This Week
Besides the website, I worked on a Unreal Engine 5.5 plugin designed to handle extremely large numerical values with reduced precision. This is for Gravity, a game in the incremental genre. I also wanted to test the process of publishing on the Unreal Engine FAB Marketplace, and to my surprise, it was quick and easy.
I’m also planning to develop another plugin for procedural building generation, which will be part of Slaves. I intend to release it on the marketplace as well.
The reason for monetizing these plugins is simple: I need to generate some passive income to sustain all my projects. Since I’ll be living off my savings for now, every little bit helps.
Considering a Weekly Vlog?
I’m thinking about starting a weekly vlog to showcase my work process and project development. Initially, it will be in Spanish, but I might use AI to create an English version later.
I’m excited about what’s coming next and hope more people will join me on this journey. See you next week with more updates!
